As the deadline approaches for the Pittsburgh Steelers and star running back Le’Veon Bell to agree to a new deal, rumors are now surfacing that a possible holdout could occur. According to Ian Rapoport, “The two sides are not optimistic that a deal will get done.” Both parties have until 4 pm today to reach an agreement.
Bell is already the highest paid running back in the league at $14.5 million after signing his franchise tag last year. The Steelers and Bell would like to get this wrapped up and focus on NFL training camp. If the two sides can not come to an agreement on a deal Le’Veon Bell could sit out training camp if not longer.
