Seahawks compare Russell Wilson to MLK in out-of-context tweet

On Sunday, the Seattle Seahawks punched their ticket to their second Super Bowl appearance in as many years. I would imagine the team was in high spirits Monday, which happened to be Martin Luther King, Jr. day.

In an attempt to combine MLK day with their achievement, the Seahawks’ Twitter account tweeted something amazingly out-of-context – a picture of Russell Wilson crying with a quote from Martin Luther King, Jr.

Don’t get me wrong, Seattle’s win over Green Bay was emotional, but come on. Check out the picture they used in the tweet below, which has since been deleted.
