NFL Fanduel Week 14: Best Buys and Advice
FanDuel Week 14 Picks
Week 14 is the week where people have to turn to Fanduel to get their fantasy football fix in since they didn’t make the playoffs. I say take advantage of these people playing DFS because they are obviously not very good at fantasy football if they didn’t make the playoffs. My favorite excuse is “I scored the most points but always played the highest scorer of the week.” Well, that excuse doesn’t work in DFS because if you score the most points you win, and hopefully win big. If one of my picks helps you win big, please share the love with me by giving me a shout out on Twitter @MitchellRenz365!
It’s important to remember the suggested Fanduel players below have been selected because they are, in my opinion, “the best bang for your buck” to build a lineup with.
Week 14 Fanduel Quarterback
- Jimmy Garoppolo @HOU
FanDuel QB Price: $7,000
Trust Jimmy Garoppolo this week against the Texans for DFS this week because he is going up against the Houston Texans who ranked 31st against quarterbacks. My quarterback stream of the week is Garoppolo because he was impressive last week in the 49ers 15-14 win against the Bears. He passed for 293 yards, zero touchdowns, and one interception which doesn’t seem appealing but I thought he looked really good in his first start. The Bears defense at home is an underrated unit allowing only 13.3 fantasy points a game which is why I am giving him a pass and looking for him to pass all over the Texans.
Week 14 Fanduel Running Backs
Running Back
- Alfred Morris @NYG
FanDuel RB Price: $6,800
Ezekiel Elliott who? Morris ran the ball well racking up 27 carries for 127 yards and a touchdown, in the Cowboys 38-14 win over the Redskins on Thursday Night Football. The Cowboys have now had 10 days to prepare for a Giants team that has been in total disarray the last few weeks with the benching of Eli Manning and firing of head coach Ben McAdoo. Since the Giants bye in Week 8, they are allowing running back units to average 27 carries, 121 yards, and a touchdown. This is important because Morris has been seeing the bulk of the carries and if he gets another heavy workload like last week he will easily pay off.
- Jamaal Williams @CLE
FanDuel RB Price: $6,600
Considering how consistent Williams has been the last four weeks, I am surprised that he is still priced so low. Over his last four games, he is averaging 20 carries, 76 yards, and one touchdown on the ground. He has also been playing better as a receiving back, bringing in 10 receptions for 116 yards and one touchdown the last three games. The Packers should be able to lead most of this game considering the Browns are 0-12 and haven’t shown much promise this season, which should mean a heavy workload for Williams.
Week 14 Fanduel Wide Receivers
- Marvin Jones @TB
FanDuel WR Price: $7,000
Quarterback for the Lions, Matthew Stafford practiced both Wednesday and Thursday this week which bodes well for him suiting up in Week 14. This is a great matchup for Jones as the Buccaneers have allowed the most fantasy points to wide receivers this season. This defense has allowed the most receptions (178) and yards (2,344) to wide receivers this season, plus 14 receiving touchdowns which are the third most in the NFL. Jones has the upside to win you a week and win you some serious cash on Fanduel.
- Corey Coleman vs. GB
FanDuel WR Price: $5,700
This is a bit of a contrarian play going with Coleman which is exactly why I’m doing it. First, Coleman had zero catches last week against the Chargers, second, Josh Gordon had four catches for 85 yards. The Packers have given up the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers which will lead many people wanting to pick the sexy name that is Gordon thus forgetting about Coleman. Before last week, Coleman had seen eight-plus targets in back to back games which is what I am hoping for in Week 14.
Week 14 Fanduel Tight Ends
- Cameron Brate vs. DET
FanDuel TE Price: $5,400
Cameron Brate and Jameis Winston have a love for each other that is very deep, I say this because before Winston got injured in Week 9, Brate was tight end six on the season. In Winston’s first game back he connected with Brate on two plays, both were touchdowns. Brate led all tight ends in touchdowns last season with eight and as long as Winston is on the field he has a chance to score.
Week 14 Fanduel Kicker & DEF
- Harrison Butker vs. OAK
FanDuel Kicker Price: $4,800
Normally when I look for a kicker, I want a guy who is playing in a dome, but that isn’t the case this week. It is supposed to be a cold game in Kansas City with possible snowfall, but I think that helps slow down both offenses enough, turning this game into a field goal battle. Last time these teams met it was a shootout with the Raiders winning 31-30. The Raiders defense has allowed the third most points to kickers this season and I expect Butker to have a solid game in this AFC West rivalry matchup.
- Vikings @CAR
FanDuel Defense Price: $4,600
The Vikings defense has been one of the best units in the NFL, but for fantasy purposes, they haven’t scored a ton of points due to the fact, they have zero defensive touchdowns. I expect the Vikings to win this game, which is why I am projecting them to have a solid day against Cam Newton and the Panthers. When Newton struggles, the Panthers lose games. In the Panthers four loses this season Newton has three passing touchdowns, eight interceptions, and averages 200 yards a game. Newton will struggle in this matchup which will lead to a solid fantasy performance for the Vikings.
Good Luck & Thanks for Reading!
