Ameer Abdullah
Detriot Lions – Running Back

Bold Meter: 6

Abdullah will finish 2017 as a RB1. Again? Yes again, all aboard the Abdullah hype train. Before you ask for a refund on your previous two tickets aboard the Abdullah express let me give you some confidence that this season will be a first class ride.

The Lions coaching staff has already come out and said that they fully expect Abdullah to be the lead running back. I believe them simply because of how talented the 2017 NFL Draft Class was and the Lions didn’t draft a running back. The Lions planned on using him in both aspects of their offense which is highlighted in his stats the first game of 2016.  He had 12 carries for 63 yards and five receptions for 57 yards and a touchdown. That’s 17 touches which I will sign up for everyday with a running back going in round six according to ADP.

I don’t think anyone questions the talent of Abdullah but he has a stamp on him that says he can’t stay healthy and personally I don’t think it’s fair. He played in all 16 games as a rookie and never missed a game in college. The guy was injured for one season out of five.  That’s impressive for a running back. The Lions medical staff is confident in him bouncing back this season and so am I. Get your tickets now before this train is sold out.

Terrelle Pryor
Washington Redskins – Wide Receiver

Bold Meter: 5

Terrelle PryorPryor will finish 2017 as a top 10 wide receiver in 2017. Pryor is the player you make on Madden for the perfect size and speed combination. Why do I say that? Well at 6’4″ 233 pounds with the size and speed he possess accoring to SPARQ score he is in the 99th percentile of the size/speed category. He is amognst names that you may have heard of in Calcin Johnson and Julio Jones.  Ring a bell?

Last season he was able to put up a stat line of 77 catches for 1,004 yards and four touchdowns with six quarterbacks. The Browns quarterback situation was rated R. I’d be watching the game just waiting for them to blur out the game because it wasn’t sutiable enough to be on cable television.  It was so bad that Pryor himself had to play quartberack.

Now he is on the Redskins who were second in the NFL in passing yards and 7th in pass attempts. So the volume for Pryor will be there, not to mention Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson are now with new teams which frees up 216 targets between the two of them. If Pryor can comand another 140 targets and he can maintain his average along with Cousins maintaining his average of a 66 percent completion percetage and a touchdown every 14 pass completitons. Pryor’s stat line would be 92 -1,205- 7, which make him a top 10 receiver.

Why not a little Trivia? Just like in The Empire Fantasy Podcast, let’s play Who am I.
  1. I was the number one high school running back recruit
  2. I commited to Georgia and played for one season before transferring to Alabama State
  3. I have never missed an NFL game in my three year carrer.
  4. I have never had more than 200 carries in a season
  5. I had the longest touch down run of 85 yards in 2016.

Ben Roethlisberger
Pittsburgh Steelers –  Quarterback

Bold Meter: 8.5

Roethlisberger will do something he has never done in his career, throw for 5,000 yards in 2017. The Steelers offense is going to be scary good this season if everyone can stay healthy and out of trouble.  Health is big factor in this since Roethlisberger seems to battle an injury every year. Also though his teammates staying out of trouble is another major factor.  Did you know Roethlisberger, LeVeon Bell, Antonio Brown and Martavis Bryant have never played a full game together?

The main reason for the bold prediction is Martavis Bryant. In the 19 games Roethlisberger has played in with Bryant he averages 336 yards, 2.2 touchdowns and 1.1 interceptions. That projects to 5, 376 yards, 35 passing touchdowns and 18 interceptions. Even if Ben is only able to play 15 games he still throws for over 5,000 yards with those projections.  The sample size of 19 games is large enough where it is possible.

Unfortunetly this article isn’t your typical film where funny outtakes happen during the credits. This is simply saying thanks for reading. The Bold predictions depicted in this article were based on true stories and should not be reenacted in anyway.
