Watch the modern tragedy that is the Avalanche learning they’re picking 4th in the NHL draft
You can’t make this up, guys.
The poor, poor Avalanche.
After a miserable season, which saw a franchise-low 22 wins and multiple attempts to trade their young stars, the only hope Colorado had at the end of the tunnel was the No. 1 draft pick.
Instead, New Jersey, Philadelphia, and Dallas ALL jumped them in a shocker of a draft as the Avalanche fell to fourth overall. A solid pick still awaits them, but the disappointment on top of a heartbreaking season is palpable.
That misery was on display in real time as the Avalanche’s Twitter account, which has been wallowing in sadness already, reacted with the most upsetting dejection we’ve ever seen.
It's a modern Greek tragedy. http://pic.twitter.com/wPJKnYbwTv
