Report: Despite injury teams showing interest in Nate Irving

Despite finishing his season on the season-ending injured reserve with a knee injury that required surgery, teams have expressed interest in linebacker Nate Irving, a source told Josina Anderson of ESPN.

Irving played for the Broncos in 2014, but suffered a torn ACL in November, which required surgery. He will become a free agent in March.

With the Broncos moving to a 3-4 that will move Danny Trevathan and Brandon Marshall inside, they most likely will not be looking to re-sign Irving this offseason.

Irving was in his first season as a full-time member of the starting lineup in Denver and picked up 46 tackles in eight starts before being lost for the season. Irving’s biggest strengths lie in his work against the run and he’s likely to focus on that end of things wherever he winds up playing in 2015.
