5 NFL teams that should move on from their quarterbacks
The quarterback position in the NFL is the hardest to play hands down. QB’s get the glory when a team wins, and the brunt of the scrutiny when the team loses. Often times, a quarterback will show enough that a team opts to hold onto him and keep giving him chances to progress and win. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn’t. To me this one is more obvious than it seems to others. The Broncos assembled an all-star team for title runs the last two seasons, and it didn’t happen. Torn quad or not, Manning is finally showing signs of decline. If he couldn’t win a championship the last two years, what makes anyone think he will do it when he’s another year older? Denver should trade him, free themselves from his massive contract, and give Brock Osweiler his shot. After all, a good portion of the team will still be in place. They’ll still be contenders without Manning. Hell, he might retire anyway.
