2015 NHL schedule: Penguins host charging division rival Rangers

Football can wait.

The New York Rangers and Pittsburgh Penguins will get the national TV treatment on Sunday thanks to some late football start times.

NBC knows you're going to be sitting around the TV for hours before NFL football kicks off. So why not watch some stick and puck between two of the league's best teams? Those NBC guys are smart, and have slated the Rangers and Penguins to face off beginning at 12:30 p.m. from Pittsburgh.

New York enters the game on a 7-2-1 run and primed to close the gap on their division rivals. Pittsburgh just wants to right the ship, having gone 4-5-1 over that same stretch while losing the last two games.
